A little bit about us
Gocampervan – northeast campervan hire has been operating close to Newcastle Airport for 10 years now. We love meeting people from all over the world including Australia, New Zealand, Europe and of course the UK. We are a family business who are passionate about travel and pride ourselves on our personal service.
We are Kevin & Susan a husband and wife team who met on the road working for Contiki Holidays back in 1990. Having spent thirty years in the travel business, driving and guiding for companies like Contiki, Top Deck, Expat Explore, Kumuka and Trafalgar in Europe; and crossing the Sahara Desert in Africa with Encounter Overland, taking groups on expeditions, we have done our fair share of camping. Adventure travel led us to campervans and campervan hire was an easy transition from there.
We have had many different types of campervans over the years including the old VW’s but have opted for more modern, reliable vehicles for our hire business.
The picture on the left was the expedition vehicle we drove in Africa. The one on the right is our Landrover stuck in the mud in Zaire on our personal Trans Africa expedition.
Now living a more settled lifestyle we love to meet other enthusiastic travellers and gocampervan gives us the opportunity to do that.
